Karma

Karma is the result of all our actions and their consequences. Good and evil can be the consequence of past actions or sources of future consequences. In his collection and content presentation, Akouvi Danyo decided to develop the good side of Karma, which he named La Vie en Rose. His presentation shows a lantern that is always trying to stay alight. It is the light of hope that combats evil. The silhouettes were inspired by members of society who have the capability and responsibility to pass on good karma in their native area. Sources of inspiration were the Ewe people, Biguine folk costume, women and the urban man.

The Unity collection is wholly inspired by all of the definitions of unity that Djiedjom was able to find. The collection explores how unity is rooted in all areas and disciplines of being. Unity is found between people, but also in measurements, environment, language, religion, mathematics and love. His garments consist of eclectic mixtures of patterns and subtle details, which separately represent asymmetrical silhouettes, but together form a balanced whole: unity.
