Edith Uyoybukheri
Edith Uyoybukheri is a CEO, rolemodel, mother and the 2018 Vlisco ambassador for Ghana. Not only does Edith run a manufacturing company, she is also the founder of a women’s organisation focused on excellent self-development, business solutions and peer networking, and is a Director and member of the Advisory Board of the African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO).
Dr Yolanda George-David
Vlisco Ambassador Nigeria 2018 is Dr Yolanda George-David. Her passion to make a difference and her natural ability to inspire others is what distinguishes her.
Euphrasie Kouassi Yao
Next to being the face of our brand in 2015, Euphrasie is the UNESCO Chairholder and Coordinator of the Compendium of Women’s Competences in Côte d’Ivoire. Amongst other things, she realized the project that involves female rural leaders in the management of improved village hydraulic pumps.
Patience Barandenge
Patience Barandenge is an energetic woman, who has made it her responsibility to support Congolese women in the male-dominated market. The former Vlisco ambassador (2014) from the DRC works for a private Congolese bank that gives loans to business women and is the main initiator behind its micro-credit programme for women.
Marie Kazadi
Having founded 3 Source de Vie Christian schools, Marie Kazadi dreams of a generation of children that are capable and honest because of their education.
Monique Kotchofa Faihun
Mrs Kotchofa Faihun spends a lot of her time on charitable organisations. Her ambition is to see every woman in the world achieve their dreams.
Nadouvi Lawson-Body
Nadouvi Lawson-Body was Vlisco’s 2013 ambassador in Togo and is a renowned cardiologist and the director of La Clinique le Coeur. Being a female cardiologist, Dr Lawson-Body was a pioneer of her time.
Laurence Ya Adonis-Koffi
Professor Laurence Ya Adonis-Koffi has been involved in the battle against renal failure in children for seven years and is the founding director of the first specialised unit in the French-speaking sub-Saharan part of Africa since 2009.
Chantal Sylvie Tchiakpe
Chantal Tchiakpe is the founder of ‘Oasis du Bonheur’ (‘Oasis of Happiness’), a non-profit organisation in the form of a happiness restaurant where people in need can eat for free.
Essivi Mimi Bossou-Soedjede
Her secret to success? “The path to success is strewn with stones and thorns, but if you manage to resist all these obstacles by keeping your sights set on your goals in life, you will end up achieving your dream.”
Aimée Abra Tenu
Her efforts and contributions to society have been recognised worldwide. At only 32 years of age, she has accumulated a remarkable collection of awards on her bookshelf. To name a few: Aimee was awarded the La France Prize (2015) and appointed as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (2011).
Dotun Akande
The founder of Patrick Speech and Languages Centre, Dotun Akande (Vlisco Ambassador Nigeria 2015), is known for her powerful and optimistic leadership for autism awareness.
Adesuwa Onyenokwe
Adesuwa Onyenokwe is the publisher and superwoman behind the Today’s Woman magazine. She is a communications expert who is passionate about women doing their utmost to uplift society.
Eugenia Abu
Mrs Eugenia Abu is one of Nigeria’s foremost broadcasters. A multi-talented one: she anchored the 9:00 p.m. News for seventeen years and attracted millions of viewers to the NTA Network News.
Regina Honu
Besides being chosen as our brand ambassador in 2016, Regina’s achievements have been recognised by the likes of the BBC, CNN and Coca-Cola, when she was listed as one of the 100 most inspirational and innovative women by the BBC, featured as one of 12 inspirational women in Science, Tech and Engineering by CNN, and was one of the Coca-Cola Young Achievers in 2017.
Eugenia Tachie-Menson
Eugenia Mawuena Adjoa Tachie-Menson, the founder and CEO of Young Educators Foundation and former Vlisco Ambassador for Ghana (2014), is a passionate educator who makes learning fun for children ages 8-18 through spelling competitions and other educational programmes.
Elizabeth Akua-Nyarko Patterson
Ghana’s 2015 Vlisco Ambassador is Elizabeth Patterson. She is the founder and executive director of ‘The Girl’s Education Initiative of Ghana’ (GEIG).
Ellen Maama Hagan
Dr Ellen Hagan is the multi-award-winning founder and CEO of Human Resource organisation L’AINÉ Services Ltd. (L’AINÉ is French for first-born or eldest) and former Vlisco Ambassador for Ghana (2013).
Sarah Lusenge
Sarah Lusenge, Vlisco Ambassador 2015 (DRC), is the founder of the SADD association (Solidarity action for right and development) in the DRC.
