Fashion designer Loza Maléombho, born in Brasil and raised in Ivory Coast and Washington DC, has travelled the world but feels most creative in Ivory Coast.

For our anniversary, Loza was asked to create a collection to celebrate Vlisco’s 170-year history. The Dutch traditional costumes in the 19th century and the traditional aspect of West Africa were sources of inspiration for her collection.

Her favourite Vlisco fabric? “The Olive green Java Vintage fabric I used for one of my fashion looks; it adds a luxurious and sophisticated feel to the outfit I’ve created.”
